Job summary

Verona Bake (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated bakery worker to assist in producing a range of breads, cakes, pastries and desserts. You will mix ingredients, shape dough, and bake according to our standard recipes.

Candidates should have basic education (SPM or equivalent), at least 1 year in baking or related field, and be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. Mandarin is an advantage; Malay/English or Mandarin communication is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in bakery operations is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately.
• Good understanding of food safety for kitchen environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a range of breads, cakes, pastries and desserts according to recipes.
• Monitor ingredient quality and stock levels for baked goods.
• Maintain clean and organized bakery counter and equipment.
• Assist with ad-hoc tasks as needed by supervisor.

Producing various types of bakery product including cake, bread, pastries and desserts.

Mixes, ferments, shapes, and bakes according to specified recipes and standards.

Mix ingredients according to recipes to make breads, cake, pastries, and other baked goods.

Ensure proper preparation according to formula and scheduled standards.

Check the quality of baking ingredients and prepare equipment for baking.

Tracking ingredient expiry dates and arranging their use accordingly.

Monitoring the visual appeal and the availability of baked goods on display.

Reporting low baked goods stock to superior in a timely manner.

Maintaining a clean and tidy baked goods counter.

Cleaning the kitchen after business hours and preparing it for the next day.

To perform other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior.

Work Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least SPM or equivalent.
• At least 1Year(s)of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Mandarin Speaker is an advantage.
• Able to communicate in Malay and English, or Mandarin.
• In depth knowledge of food preparation and baking techniques.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including OT, weekends, and holidays.
