Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking an Assistant Sales Manager for Microbiological Safety Solutions in Subang Jaya, Malaysia. The role balances hands-on account management with team mentorship and strategic growth across industrial testing, food manufacturing, and life sciences.

You will lead key accounts, drive revenue, and coordinate with marketing and product teams to launch new lines and support global brands. English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent commercial experience in scientific sales.
• Minimum 3–5 years of proven B2B sales in scientific equipment or related fields.
• Track record of meeting quotas and launching new brands locally.
• Strong coaching, pipeline analysis, and CRM usage.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage key accounts to foster long-term relationships across Malaysia.
• Own revenue targets while contributing to division performance.
• Prospect and secure new client opportunities within target accounts.
• Draft commercial proposals and drive active sales pipelines.
• Lead commercial launches for new product lines and international brands.
• Build target prospect lists and engage end-users from contact to conversion.
• Partner with specialists for on-site demonstrations and evaluations.
• Collaborate with marketing on targeted campaigns and market feedback.
• Mentor sales executives to hit individual and division goals.
• Assist onboarding activities for new commercial team members.
• Track sales metrics, activity levels, and pipeline health.
• Serve as acting manager in the absence of the Divisional Sales Manager.
• Maintain strong knowledge of microbiology media and related equipment.
• Coordinate with global vendors on pricing, inventory, and reviews.
• Work with international brand partners on training and market development.
