Job summary

Unison Group is seeking an experienced COBOL developer to maintain and enhance AS400/IBM i applications. You will work in EAI-enabled environments, apply DevOps practices, and manage ALDON-based deployments while optimizing SQL/DB2 queries.

The role requires strong problem solving, analytical skills, and clear communication to translate business needs into robust technical solutions. Banking/payments exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on COBOL development on AS400/IBM i.
• Experience with EAI environments and DevOps practices.
• ALDON experience for lifecycle management and deployments.
• Strong SQL/DB2 query writing and optimization.
• Experience in application support, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with JIRA for incident and change tracking.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support COBOL apps on AS400/IBM i.

Experience Required
