Synthomer plc is seeking a dedicated applications test support professional to bolster the Coatings business in Asia. The role focuses on bench-top coating applications, process improvements, and collaboration with stakeholders to meet CCS objectives.

The position emphasizes ISO and SHE compliance, method development, and technical training to customers and distributors, with a commitment to safety and quality in lab operations across regional sites.

• Lead coating applications from bench-top to support business needs.
• Benchmarking studies and customer support.
• Drive process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead coating applications, from planning and bench-top execution to support business needs with stakeholders.
• Conduct benchmarking studies and provide customer support.
• Investigate market/customer complaints and support process improvements, cost savings and regulatory transfer activities in operations.
• Develop new methods and deliver application lab activities aligned with CCS-Coatings Asia strategy.
• Support lab operations (ISO representative, instrument calibration, material replenishment).
• Provide training on subject matter expertise (customer/distributor training with demos).
• Ensure SHE compliance and maintain technical awareness for competent contribution.
