Job summary

RC Precision Engineering Sdn Bhd seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Penang. The successful candidate will operate 3-axis CNC machining centers, perform first-piece inspection, and help achieve production targets while maintaining quality.

You will read engineering drawings, adjust tooling and parameters, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with Production, Quality and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of CNC machining or manufacturing experience.
• Hands-on experience operating CNC machining centers (3-axis and above).
• Good understanding of CNC machining processes, GD&T, and quality control.
• Experience with Mastercam is an added advantage.
• Experience handling Dah Lih and KAFO CNC machines is an added advantage.
• Experience using Zoller Tool Presetter for tool measurement and offset setting is an added advantage.
• Able to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
• Willing to work on rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3-axis CNC machining centers and above.
• Perform first-piece inspection after tool changes and conduct in-process quality checks to ensure product specifications are met.
• Adjust or replace cutting tools, inserts, and machining parameters to maintain machining performance.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, setup sheets, job routers, and inspection plans.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize machine performance to improve productivity and reduce cycle time.
• Ensure proper handling and reuse of cutters/inserts to minimize waste and control tooling costs.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and workplace organization according to 5S standards.
• Complete assigned tasks within required cycle time and production targets while following safety and quality procedures.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to support production goals.
