Job summary

Ichor Systems in Sauk Rapids, MN seeks a Machine Operator to start and monitor CNC milling and turning operations, ensuring parts meet specifications and tolerances.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience operating CNC machinery.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T basics.
• Familiar with calipers and micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls as required.
• Understand blueprints, drawings, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations.
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes and similar CNC machine tools.
• Refer to the tooling list and install correct tooling. Be able to enter and verify tool offsets.
• Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers); familiar with CMM, GD&T, SPC.
• Communicate process issues to supervisor for investigation.
• Complete the necessary paperwork and computer entry steps.
