Job summary

The Access Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a cloud governance specialist to own and evolve their public cloud platform across Microsoft Azure and AWS. The ideal candidate will act as a technical authority on security, compliance, and identity management. You will work closely with local and global teams to enhance operational processes and provide a high level of service. About you:

As part of our Public Cloud Platform team, you will play a key role in owning, governing, and evolving our cloud platform across Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will act as a technical authority for cloud governance, security posture, identity, networking, and core platform services.

This role combines hands‑on engineering with platform ownership and influence, working closely with local and global stakeholders to continuously improve how cloud services are designed, operated, and governed.

Day‑to‑day, you will:

Cloud Governance, Compliance & FinOps

• Own and evolve cloud governance and compliance frameworks across Azure and AWS, covering policies, landing zones, account structures, and guardrails
• Ensure environments remain secure, compliant, and cost efficient through CSPM tooling, policy enforcement, and FinOps practices
• Partner with stakeholders to remediate compliance risks and support internal and external assessments

Identity & Access Management

• Own enterprise identity and access management across Azure and AWS, including SSO, federation, Conditional Access, and MFA
• Enforce least privilege access and oversee user and application lifecycle management
• Maintain integration between on premises Active Directory and cloud identity platforms

Cloud Networking & Connectivity

• Design and operate secure, scalable cloud and hybrid networking across Azure and AWS
• Own core networking components, connectivity patterns, and security controls
• Act as an escalation point for complex networking and connectivity issues

Monitoring, Reliability & Incident Response

• Define observability standards and ensure effective monitoring, alerting, and operational visibility
• Participate in on‑call and major incident response, driving root cause analysis and long‑term reliability improvements

Compute & Platform Operations

• Own lifecycle management of Windows and Linux virtual machines across Azure and AWS
• Ensure configurations, backup, and disaster recovery align with organizational standards
• Drive automation and standardization to reduce operational overhead

Continuous Improvement & Collaboration

• Act as a trusted technical partner to application and platform teams
• Contribute to platform standards, documentation, and architectural decisions
• Continuously improve security, reliability, and operational efficiency

Your skills and experiences might also include:

Core Requirements

• Strong hands‑on experience operating production workloads in Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
• Proven experience with cloud governance and compliance frameworks (Azure Policy, Management Groups, AWS Organizations, SCPs)
• Solid background in identity and access management, including SSO, federation, Conditional Access, and MFA
• Strong networking fundamentals with practical experience designing cloud and hybrid networking architectures
• Experience monitoring and operating cloud platforms at scale, including incident response and problem management
• Ability to troubleshoot complex, multi‑layer cloud infrastructure issues under pressure

Technical Proficiency

• Azure: ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Azure Firewall, Private Endpoints, Virtual WAN, Azure Monitor, KQL
• AWS: VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53, CloudWatch, AWS Config, Security Hub
• Compute: Windows & Linux VM lifecycle management in Azure and AWS
• Automation & IaC: PowerShell, Bash, Python, Terraform, Bicep (or equivalent)
