Job summary

Commercepay is seeking a motivated IT/Cloud Operations intern to assist in the setup, management, and maintenance of cloud environments. You will help deploy resources (VMs, App Services, databases) and perform basic monitoring, with guidance from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts (Azure or AWS).
• Basic networking knowledge including DNS, IP addressing, routing, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, firewalls, NSG, and security concepts.
• Ability to set up basic networks (VNETs, subnets) and troubleshoot connectivity (ping, ports, DNS).
• Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux environments and office IT setup (printers, WiFi, devices).
• Familiarity with AI tools for productivity and troubleshooting; ability to verify outputs independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup, management, and maintenance of cloud platforms and environments.
• Support deployment of cloud resources including Virtual Machines, App Services, and databases.
• Perform basic monitoring of cloud systems and escalate issues when required.
• Assist in implementing security controls, governance processes, and compliance checks.
• Support basic networking configuration in cloud environments (VNET, subnets, NSG rules).
• Help troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and application issues under guidance.
• Provide basic IT support for office infrastructure (printers, WiFi, end-user devices).
• Utilize AI tools to improve productivity, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Participate in system improvements, automation tasks, and documentation.
• Assist in backup and Disaster Recovery processes.
• Collaborate with team members and learn cloud operations best practices.
