Job summary

CloudMile is seeking a Cloud Engineer Intern who will gain hands-on experience in cloud technologies and enterprise cloud environments. You will work with Cloud Engineers, Cloud Architects, Data Scientists and other technical teams to support cloud solutions for customers.

You will contribute to deploying, configuring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and collaborate on documentation, testing, and technical reviews.

Qualifications

• Basic networking knowledge and internet protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
• Familiarity with Linux OS and command-line operations.
• Understanding of cloud computing concepts; exposure to AWS/Azure/GCP is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork; eager to learn in a fast-paced tech environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Cloud Engineers/Architects in implementing and configuring cloud environments per designs.
• Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and services on GCP.
• Troubleshoot basic cloud, system, networking, and infrastructure issues under guidance.
• Monitor cloud environments and perform routine checks for availability and performance.
• Contribute to documentation, testing, and technical reviews; collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Job description

As a Cloud Engineer Intern at CloudMile, you will gain hands-on experience in cloud technologies and enterprise cloud environments. You will work closely with our Cloud Engineers, Cloud Architects, Data Scientists, and other technical teams to support the implementation and maintenance of cloud solutions for our customers.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist Cloud Engineers and Cloud Architects in implementing and configuring cloud environments based on established solution designs.
• Support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and services, primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving basic cloud, system, networking, and infrastructure issues under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Support technical teams in monitoring cloud environments and performing routine checks to ensure system availability and performance.
• Participate in cloud solution implementation, testing, documentation, and technical reviews.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including Cloud Architects, Software Developers, Data Scientists, and Machine Learning Engineers.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining technical documentation, configuration guides, and project-related materials.
• Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and develop knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, and related technologies.
• Perform other technical tasks and project assignments as required.

Basic Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Basic understanding of networking and internet protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and distributed networks.
• Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems and command-line operations.
• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts, with exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP being an advantage.
• Basic understanding of computer systems, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
• Quick learner with a strong interest in cloud technology and emerging technologies.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with different technical teams.
• Proactive, curious, and willing to learn in a fast-paced technology environment.
