About the role

Verinon Technology Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Cloud Engineer with specialisation in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Generative AI to join our team on a contract basis. This role is based in Kuala Lumpur and offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting‑edge cloud infrastructure and AI‑driven solutions. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud architectures whilst integrating emerging generative AI technologies to drive innovation and business value. This position is integral to our digital transformation strategy and will contribute significantly to the delivery of next‑generation technology solutions for our clients.

Required Qualifications

• +4 years of hands‑on AWS experience.
• Good AWS fundamentals: IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch.
• Exposure to cloud security tooling: Inspector, Security Hub, WAF, Shield, GuardDuty, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with FinOps
• Comfortable working with Linux CLI and basic system administration.
• Familiarity with Configuration as Code (Terraform), CI/CD concepts; GitHub Actions experience is a plus.
• Good communication skills with the ability to follow up across teams and report to management.
• Strong ownership mindset and collaborative approach.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ECS, EKS, ArgoCD, and Helm.
• Multi‑account AWS exposure: Control Tower, IAM Identity Center.
• Experience with observability tooling: Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace.
• Exposure to GenAI workloads.
• Experience with FinOps tooling: Cost Explorer, Budgets, CUR, Savings Plans.
• Development experience, preferably with Node.js or Python.
• Comfortable with AI‑assisted development tools: VS Code, GitHub Copilot, Kiro.
