Job summary

EY Malaysia is seeking a Climate Risk Analyst to work on climate risk management projects, including physical and transition risk stress testing, with cross-functional teams. You will help assess impacts on financial risk and translate trends into commercial implications.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field and at least two years in risk management, statistical modelling or climate risk. EY offers flexible working arrangements and a focus on development.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Macro-economics, mathematics, risk management, statistics, actuarial science, analytics or STEM field.
• Minimum of two years of work experience in Risk Management, Credit Risk, Statistical Modelling or Climate Risk Modelling.

Responsibilities

• Work on diverse climate risk management projects, developing physical and transition risk stress testing processes, methodologies and models.
• Assess impact of climate risk on other financial risk and review climate stress scenarios and risk drivers.
• Analyze implications of sustainability trends and translate into commercial impact.
• Assist clients on climate risk management policies, framework, risk identification and monitoring.
• Engage with clients to diagnose needs, cross-sell services and prepare high-level reports and proposals.
• Manage complex technical issues and stay updated on relevant regulations and codes.
