Job summary

AMD is seeking an experienced engineer in Penang to join the Client/Graphics Platform validation team. The role involves validating client GPUs and graphics platforms post-silicon, collaborating with firmware, software, diag, and board-design teams, and driving validation deliverables to milestones.

You will triage and debug issues across function teams, create test procedures, and support new GPU product bring-up. A strong background in PC hardware and related tools is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in EE or CS engineering.
• Minimum 6+ years hands-on experience in PC, laptop, graphics, motherboard, server test and debug.

The Role

AMD Client/Graphics Platform validation team is part of CGSE engineering , and is responsible to validate platforms for AMD clients/graphics products . You will be working with cross function teams globally to validate client/graphics platforms , triage/debug issues , and drive validation’s deliverables to hit platform validation milestones .

The Person

• Bachelor + , Minimum of 6+ year hands-on industry experience in PC , laptop , Graphics , mother boards , server product test and issue debug .
• Excellent communication skills including English ability in oral and written
• Be able to work both independently and in a team .
• Leading technical discussion with multiple function teams and drive issue’s triage and debug .

Key Responsibilities

• Engaged in AMD clients & dGPU’s post-silicon phases , Driving to review internal & customer’s design, develop validation strategies and test plan for AMD reference or customer platform designs
• Create test procedures and generate technical documents as needed.
• Execute Post-Si Integration validation ; Track/Report validation status .
• Triage/debug system level issue with cross function engineering teams (Firmware , SW , diag , board design) , and root cause the issue
• Support new GPU product bring-up and debug issues

Preferred Experience

• Solid knowledge of kinds of PC Hardware elements (CPU, GPU chipset, I/O devices, etc), Software (BIOS, Drivers, Operating System) and PC architecture.
• Technical experience in electrical hardware design , ASIC platform’s test and debug , and related tools , defect tracking and revision control .
• Graphics experience is a plus

Academic Credentials

• Sc. or above in EE or CS related Engineering
