Job summary

CACEIS Investor & Treasury Services Malaysia is seeking a Client Operations Officer for Master Data Services (Static Data) to maintain and update static data across MDC and GP. The role reports to the Manager, Static Data and supports 24/5 operations with 8-hour shifts in Malaysia time.

Responsibilities include validating market data, handling corporate actions, and ensuring timely, high-quality responses to inquiries while promoting data accuracy and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Must have strong MS Excel skills and data handling experience.
• Experience with static data management and banking operations is essential.
• Knowledge of Bloomberg data or similar providers is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Control and validate static data in MDC and GP as part of daily tasks.
• Create or amend static data entries in processing systems.
• Support global business with regular shift coverage (8:00–17:00 Malaysia time).
• Respond to internal and external inquiries promptly with high quality.
• Coordinate cross-training to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
• Ensure compliance with evolving data requirements and processes.
• Monitor data quality and implement improvements in the data delivery chain.

Client Operations Officer, Master Data Services (Static Data)

CACEIS Investor & Treasury Services Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones. Malaysia is one of two operational processing hubs that supports Custody - Transaction Management; Settlements; NAV Production; Fund Reporting; Shareholder Services; Global Fund Platform Services; Data Service Delivery; Entitlements – income and corporate actions and Reconciliations. The country employs a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of our global operations, improve service quality via our ‘centres of excellence’ and to implement/leverage standard processes globally.

Reporting to the Manager, Static Data team, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate update and maintenance of all static data in MDC and GP. Setups would include creation and/or amendment of static data in all the processing systems.

You will be supporting Global business with 8 working hours a day.

Shift hours would be between 8:00am and 5:00pm (Malaysia time)

What will you do?

• Control and validate market data coming from data providers (Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.)
• Analyze and execute the corporate action event (dividend, spin off, shares split, etc.)
• Ensure internal and external enquiries are managed on time and with high-quality standard
• Accountable for Global Servicing from operating location (including shifts and work on bank / legal holidays and weekend when required)
• Promote quality of deliverables by motivating, coaching and developing team members
• Ensure cross training and rotation of duties occurs on a regular basis to increase operational efficiency and reduce operational risk
• Periodic review of process to refresh understanding of requirements and review for compliance

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Familiar with core platforms: MDC and all the GP
• Knowledge in Bloomberg or other service providers will be an added advantage.
• Competent in MS office especially Excel
• Banking experience in operations with basic static data and corporate action knowledge.

Nice-to-have

• Possess strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Willingness to take on new challenges, confident and self-motivated
