ATON GROUP SDN BHD is seeking a Clerk-of-Work (C&S) to act as the site representative for the client or project consultant. The role ensures civil and structural works on-site meet design specifications, quality standards, and regulations, while monitoring contractors and ensuring timely, compliant execution.
Responsibilities include inspecting materials, witnessing testing, interpreting drawings for issue resolution, liaising with consultants, and assisting in progress reports and handover
The Clerk-of-Work (C&S) acts as the site representative for the client or project consultant. The role involves ensuring that civil and structural works on-site are executed according to design specifications, quality standards, and statutory regulations. The COW (C&S) monitors contractors, inspects works, and ensures the timely and compliant execution of structural elements.
Ensure all civil and structural works are in accordance with approved drawings, method statement, specifications, contract requirements, local authority regulations, and general building standards to ensure quality control and proper workmanship
Inspect and verify all materials delivered and used on site are in accordance with the approved material submissions/samples and technical specifications
Conduct and witness stage-by-stage testing
Review and interpret drawings to provide technical support in resolving design, construction issues, and discrepancies
Act as liaison between consultants, contractors, and developers regarding civil & structural works and site progress
Assist in preparing the construction progress report
Identify, assist in issue report/memo/NCR regarding defects, non-conformities, or unauthorized changes/materials, including following up for closure
Assist in testing & commissioning, pre-handover, defect inspection, and post-construction certification
Regular site inspection to assist day-to-day construction activities, monitoring to ensure progress as per schedule
Keep record and time-to-time update/tracking all relevant documents (Drawing, inspection request, instruction, site memo, NCR, material submission, email correspondence, RFI, method statements, test report, defect, rectification status, etc.)
Attend weekly or monthly Client Consultant meeting (CCM) and site progress meeting
Assist in checking basic compliance with health, safety, and environment (HSE)
Availability to attend inspection or supervision duties after normal working hours
Ability to carry out any other reasonable duties/responsibilities assigned by the client or consultant from time to time
