Job summary

WDC Consult International PLT is seeking a competent and independent Civil & Structural Engineer to manage projects from design through to delivery in Malaysia. You will perform analyses, review drawings, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and site teams, ensuring compliance with standards and contract requirements.

• Degree in Civil Engineering / Civil & Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in Civil & Structural Engineering.
• Capable of handling projects independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of Civil & Structural design, engineering calculations, construction methods, materials, and relevant building regulations and standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Able to understand and review engineering drawings, technical details, specifications, and construction requirements.
• Strong project coordination, communication, problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, authorities, and site personnel.
• Responsible, proactive, organised, and able to take ownership of assigned projects.
• Able to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage and handle assigned Civil & Structural projects from design and planning through construction and completion.
• Perform Civil & Structural analysis, calculations, design, and engineering works for assigned projects.
• Plan, coordinate, monitor, and follow up on project activities to ensure smooth and timely project execution.
• Review and verify design drawings, construction drawings, shop drawings, material submissions, and technical documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections and technical checks to ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, and standards.
• Coordinate and liaise directly with clients, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, authorities, and site teams on technical and project-related matters.
• Attend and coordinate site meetings, technical meetings, inspections, and project coordination meetings when required.
• Identify and resolve Civil & Structural technical and site issues, and provide practical engineering solutions to ensure project progress.
• Monitor project progress and ensure works comply with drawings, design specifications, contract requirements, regulations, and safety standards.
• Ensure assigned projects are delivered on time and within budget, in accordance with contract requirements and specifications.

Job description

We are looking for a competent and independent C&S Engineer who is capable of handling assigned projects independently with minimal supervision, from design and technical coordination through to construction and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

Independently manage and handle assigned Civil & Structural projects, from design and planning through construction and completion.

Perform Civil & Structural analysis, calculations, design, and engineering works for assigned projects.

Plan, coordinate, monitor, and follow up on project activities to ensure smooth and timely project execution.

Review and verify design drawings, construction drawings, shop drawings, material submissions, and technical documents for accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering / Civil & Structural Engineering or equivalent.
