Job summary

MiLA Asia Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a Senior Structural Engineer with strong expertise in structural analysis and design to work on building and civil projects, applying your knowledge to real projects, technical development and engineering innovation. BIM experience is not required; on‑the‑job training will be provided to learn BIM and digital engineering.

You will review calculations, mentor junior engineers and develop practical, technically sound solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian codes and standards.
• Proficient in structural analysis and design software.

Your primary role will be to apply your structural engineering knowledge to real projects, technical development and engineering innovation.

BIM experience is not a requirement. We will provide on-the-job training and guidance in BIM and digital engineering for engineers who are willing to learn.

Key responsibilities

Lead and undertake structural analysis and design for building and civil engineering projects.

Review and verify structural calculations, drawings and technical reports.

Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and project teams.

Develop practical and technically sound structural engineering solutions.

Ensure designs comply with relevant Malaysian codes and engineering standards.

Participate in structural engineering research, testing and technical development.

Work with our technology team to translate engineering knowledge into digital engineering solutions.

Learn and apply BIM workflows and digital engineering tools through on-the-job training.

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 5 years of relevant structural engineering experience.

Strong expertise in structural analysis and design.

Good knowledge of relevant Malaysian codes and engineering standards.

Proficient in structural analysis and design software.

Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and leadership abilities.

BIM experience is NOT required.

Willingness to learn BIM and digital engineering technology through on-the-job training.
