Job summary

AFA Group is seeking a civil engineer to provide technical expertise for remedial works along the KL-Karak highway and East Coast Expressway Phase 1. The role involves site visits, inspections, and proposing rectification designs for civil and structural components to meet engineering standards and safety requirements.

The candidate will prepare technical reports, evaluate tenders, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 quality management and related standards, with a focus on bridge inventory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 1-3 years of civil engineering experience in site design, land development and land use permitting.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication and design skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits, inspections and investigations of civil and structural components of highway infrastructure facilities including drainage and bridge to assess defects.
• Propose rectification designs for defects or failures related to civil and structural components.
• Prepare technical, progress and completion reports for proposed remedial works.
• Evaluate and validate technical tender submissions for compliance with design and technical requirements.

Job description

To provide technical expertise in analyzing and designing remedial works for civil and infrastructure components along the KL-Karak highway and East Coast Expressway Phase 1 (LPT1), ensuring compliance with applicable engineering standards, operational requirements, safety, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits, inspections, and investigations of civil and structural components related to highway infrastructure facilities including drainage and bridge, etc. to assess reported defects and damages.
• Propose rectification designs for defects or failures related to civil and structural components ensuring compliance with engineering standards and operational requirements.
• Prepare technical, progress, and completion reports for proposed remedial works.
• Evaluate and validate technical tender submissions to ensure compliance with design and technical requirements.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards, specifications, and ISO 9001:2015 quality management requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of bridge inventory, repair works, periodic inspection schedules and audit reports.

Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years of civil engineering experience related to site design, land development and land use permitting
