We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Chinese Subjects Tutor to join our educational team. This is a full-time position based in Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur. As a Chinese Subjects Tutor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality instruction to students, helping them develop proficiency in Chinese language, literature, and cultural understanding. This position is fundamental to our commitment to providing comprehensive and engaging educational support that prepares students for academic success and fosters a genuine appreciation for Chinese language and culture.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Chinese language lessons that cater to students of varying proficiency levels
• Carry out our comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives
• Creatively utilise diverse teaching materials, including textbooks, multimedia resources, and interactive activities
• Assess student progress through regular evaluations, quizzes, and examinations
• Provide constructive feedback and personalised guidance to support individual student learning needs
• Encourage student participation, engagement and critical thinking during lessons
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and academic performance
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain consistent educational standards and share best practices
• Participate in staff or teacher meetings and professional development activities as required

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language, Chinese Education, or a related discipline
• Proven experience teaching Chinese language and subjects at school or tutoring centre level
• Strong proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese, with excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to teach diverse learners and adapt instruction to meet individual student needs
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Patient, enthusiastic, and nurturing approach to education
• Knowledge of current Chinese curriculum standards and educational best practices
• Ability to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Teaching certification or qualification in Chinese education (preferred)
• Experience with digital learning platforms and educational technology (preferred)
