Job summary

Surbana Jurong / SMEC is seeking a highly experienced Chief Resident Engineer to lead a large site team overseeing three contract packages. The role involves on-site liaison with the client and contractors, ensuring safety, quality, and environmental compliance while managing contract administration and documentation.

Cross-functional coordination with design and construction teams is essential to address risks and drive project delivery to time and budget targets.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large site teams (90+ personnel).

Responsibilities

• Lead a site-based team of 90+ personnel to manage three contract packages (Civil, Electrical & Mechanical & Resettlement).
• Coordinate on-site with the Client and Contractors to ensure contract compliance.
• Provide safety and environmental compliance leadership on site.
• Maintain robust site supervision and contract management processes.
• Ensure submittals and RFIs from contractors are dealt with timely; coordinate with Design Office as needed.
• Manage documentation, risk, and project records; oversee commissioning and taking-over activities.
