Job summary

RPM Engineers Sdn Bhd is seeking a Chief Resident Engineer to lead the construction supervision team, ensuring safety, efficiency, and alignment with drawings and standards. The role requires overseeing progress, handling authorities, and coordinating with clients and contractors to deliver projects.

The candidate should hold a PE with BEM, possess 25+ years of construction supervision experience, and be familiar with large infrastructure earthworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 25 years of experience in construction supervision
• Certified Professional Engineer (PE) with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)
• Familiar with large infrastructure projects, in particular earthworks
• Strong problem solving and technical report writing skills
• Able to liaise effectively with client, contractor, local authorities and relevant parties

Responsibilities

• Advise, direct and monitor the day-to-day duties of construction supervision team
• Ensure construction activities are carried out in accordance with construction drawings, specifications, method statements, ITP and issue instructions for remedying faults
• Supervise and oversee construction works to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards
• Monitor construction work progress based on approved work program and implementation schedule
• Manage and coordinate documentation for authority submissions and approval
• Attend all meetings with client, contractor, local authorities and relevant parties as required
