Job summary

WK Consortium SB in Sabah, Malaysia seeks a proactive Chargeman (Low Voltage) to oversee, maintain and troubleshoot our facility's electrical installations and machinery. This role ensures safe operations, rapid breakdown response, and compliance with the Electricity Supply Act.

You will work with the Visiting Engineer, supervise day-to-day maintenance, support projects, and coordinate with vendors and management to ensure smooth operations and proper documentation of activities.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Chargeman (Low Voltage) certification.
• Hands-on experience in facility electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with local electrical regulations and Electricity Supply Act.
• Ability to respond to breakdowns outside normal hours.
• Strong communication and supervisory skills for coordination with vendors and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Breakdown & Incident Response: attend to machine breakdowns and electrical issues quickly.
• Condition Monitoring & Prevention: perform monitoring and preventive maintenance.
• Maintenance Operations: supervise day-to-day electrical maintenance and servicing.
• Engineering Support: assist visiting engineers with electrical solutions and reporting.
• Projects & Commissioning: support new projects and equipment commissioning.
• Shutdown Procedures: assist and manage after-hours work shut downs when required.
• M&E Compliance: ensure procedures align with Electricity Supply Act for LV systems.
