Job summary

UEM Edgenta is seeking a capable engineer to oversee the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical facilities at Hospital Sik in Kedah. You will ensure compliance with regulations, perform inspections, and coordinate with the client and authorities.

This full-time role requires a High School Certificate and 1–3 years hands-on experience in electrical systems, with a focus on preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High School Certificate required.
• 1–3 years hands-on experience in electrical operation and maintenance.
• Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot plant electrical facilities, machines and systems.
• Monitor electrical installations for compliance with standards and regulations.
• Inspect and test electrical installations, panels and facilities as required.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and repair issues.
• Liaise with clients and local authorities to ensure compliance.
• Ensure accurate data recording and inventory filling for electrical installations.

Job description

• Responsible for the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of plant electrical facilities, machines, equipment and system to meet the statutory regulations, environment and safety standard.
• Monitor & administer on electrical installation in term of compliance to standard / act / regulation related to energy as well as tracking all related activities.
• Conduct inspection and testing for all electrical installation, panel and facilities as per regulatory requirement.
• Responsible for preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize power interruption and machinery/equipment breakdown and carry out repairing works if necessary.
• Liaise with client and local authority to ensure compliance for electrical installation.
• Ensure accuracy data recorded and filling system in place for all electrical installation inventory.

Job Requirements:

• High School Certificate
• At least 1-3 Year(s) of hands‑on experience in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical facilities, machines, and equipment.
• Proven experience in preventive and predictive maintenance, minimizing power interruptions, and repairing electrical systems.
• Able to work independent and collaboratively as part of a team.
