Job description

Our client is a regulated entity with ASIC (AU) and VFSC (Vanuatu) licenses. The headquarter in Australia since 2011 with international offices and 200 professional team across the regions. They offer a variety of CFDs across different asset classes (FX, Crypto, Indices, and Commodities) to help clients diversify their portfolios and seize opportunities in global markets.

The Malaysia team has approximately 10 members in risk, sales, marketing, and CS. And continue to grow the Risk & Data teams with additional headcounts of 10.

Working Hour: 10am - 7pm

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our client's growing team in the dynamic world of online trading. You'll play a crucial role in turning large and complex datasets into meaningful insights that directly impact our business strategy, trading performance, and customer experience.

You'll be working closely with product, trading, and operations teams to develop scalable data pipelines, build intuitive dashboards, and support decision-making through advanced analytics.

Key Responsibilities

1. Write efficient SQL queries to extract and analyze large datasets, particularly those related to forex trading, client behavior, and market trends.
2. Build and automate data processing workflows using Python (Pandas, NumPy).
3. Design and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using Dash Plotly, Django, or similar frameworks to monitor key metrics such as slippage, latency, and P&L.
4. Architect and implement scalable data pipelines and reporting processes using AWS services and Amazon's internal ETL tools.
5. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting and analysis functions.
6. Work with Alibaba Cloud (Aliyun) services and data tools as needed.
7. Collaborate with internal teams to identify business needs, uncover insights, and deliver data-driven recommendations.
8. Perform exploratory data analysis on structured and unstructured data (e.g., tick data, user logs) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
9. Apply statistical methods and algorithms to extract meaningful business intelligence.
10. Support the Dealing team with data reporting and process automation.

Requirements

1. Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
2. Strong analytical thinking and the ability to interpret ambiguous trading behaviors using data.
3. Proficient in MySQL and Python (especially Pandas).
4. Experience with Dash Plotly, Django, or other data visualization libraries/frameworks.
5. Basic understanding of AWS cloud services and scalable data infrastructure.
6. Familiarity with Alibaba Cloud (Aliyun) and cloud-based data warehouse environments.
7. Strong communication skills to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
8. High attention to detail and a proactive mindset.

Nice to Have

1. Experience in the CFD, forex, or financial trading industry.
2. Knowledge of trading platforms like MT4/MT5 and financial instruments.
3. Background in a fast-paced fintech or brokerage environment
