Job summary

Private Advertiser seeks an experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead an education group comprising international and private schools and a kindergarten. The role is strategic, driving growth, enrolment and profitability while ensuring academic quality.

With senior leadership experience and deep knowledge of Malaysia's education market, you will oversee expansion plans, partnerships and governance, reporting to the Board.

Qualifications

• Degree holder.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the education industry.
• Must have prior experience working within an international or private school.
• Proven senior leadership experience in roles such as CEO, COO, Executive Director, Deputy CEO, Commercial Director, Sales Director or Marketing Director.
• Strong experience in business growth, enrolment, student recruitment, sales, marketing or business development.
• Proven track record in revenue growth and commercial performance.
• Experience in school expansion, new campus development, partnerships, JVs or acquisitions will be highly advantageous.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen.
• Strong stakeholder-management, negotiation and leadership skills.
• Good understanding of the Malaysian education market.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Group’s growth and business strategy.
• Drive student enrolment, retention, revenue and profitability.
• Strengthen the performance and market positioning of existing schools.
• Identify opportunities for new campuses and locations.
• Evaluate partnerships, joint ventures, acquisitions and education-sector investments.
• Oversee financial performance, budgets, cash flow and commercial KPIs.
• Lead and develop the senior management team.
• Work closely with Principals to ensure growth does not compromise academic quality.
• Maintain strong governance, compliance, risk management and internal controls.
• Present strategic plans, performance updates and expansion proposals to the Board.
• Build strong relationships with shareholders, parents, staff, authorities, investors and strategic partners.
