Job summary

MRG Global is seeking a General Manager to lead a data center project from planning through handover, ensuring on-time delivery, budget control and quality alignment. You will oversee both technical and non-technical functions, coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers.

The role requires 15+ years in M&E with a G7 contractor, deep M&E knowledge, tendering experience, and strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• At least 15 years of proven M&E work experience with a G7 main contractor, managing large-scale complex buildings.
• Advanced knowledge and skills in M&E systems and services.
• Experience in leading tendering and evaluation activities for new projects.
• At least 15 years of people management and development experience.
• Excellent problem solving, project management, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee every technical department delivering a data center from planning to handover, ensuring timeline, budget and quality targets are met.
• Oversee non-technical functions to ensure smooth operations of the construction company including HR, Finance & Procurement.
• Coordinate MEP scopes with interfaces, services and trades.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers for smooth project execution.
• Monitor progress and quality with regular updates and site team collaboration.
• Ensure safety standards and compliance across all project activities.
• Act as the liaison between internal stakeholders and external consultants to maintain progress toward milestones.
• Lead regular project progress meetings with consultants and stakeholders to ensure alignment with objectives.
