Job summary

Google Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Procurement Category Manager to shape and implement category strategies, and to cultivate strategic supplier relationships while optimizing spend through data-driven insights. The role focuses on leading strategic initiatives, driving value for Google, and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 4 years of experience in multi-disciplined procurement, leading strategy development, execution and sourcing.
• Ability to communicate in English and Bahasa Melayu fluently.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of category strategies aligned with organizational objectives for assigned indirect spend categories.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality service delivery and alignment with objectives; support RFx, negotiations and evaluations.
• Analyze spending patterns, market trends, and identify value opportunities; generate reports for decision-making and evaluation.
• Advocate AI-first procurement; identify opportunities to automate workflows and leverage predictive analytics.
• Travel on-site to drive key procurement activities.
