Job summary

The Queensbay Penang store is seeking a cashier with a strong customer service mindset and reliable, friendly personality to handle daily transactions in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have at least primary education, good English and Bahasa Malaysia, and can work rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have at least Primary/Secondary/SPM/O Level (or equivalent).
• Strong interest in retail work and customer service.
• Good communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register for all tender payments.
• Ensure payments are recorded accurately in the register.
• Handle transactions efficiently and honestly.
• Keep cash register area clean and stocked.
• Report cash shortages to the Supervisor.

Job description

Candidate must possess at least a Primary/Secondary School/SPM/\"O\" Level, any field.

Possess a strong interest in retail work.

Good communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Pleasant, neat, warm, friendly and confident personality.

Able to work on rotating shifts, work on weekends, public holidays.

Compulsory to work at AEON Queensbay Penang.

Responsibility

Cash Register operation in all tender payments (Cash, credit card, debit card, etc.)

Ensure that all payments are received accurately, correctly and entered into the cash register machine (Cash register)

Manage all transactions efficiently and honestly

Store equipment in cash register such as sold tape, plastic bags and sales tape dispensers before the cashier's counter closes

Maintain the cleanliness of the cashier's counter and cash register at all times

Ensure sufficient cash (cash balance) for daily transactions

Communicate with the Supervisor (Sr. Cashier) if cash in small denominations is insufficient.

Ensure every transaction of every item is scanned correctly and to the right customer

Operation of cash register machines according to \"speed and accuracy\" guidelines
