Job summary

Schneider Electric Industries (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Cash Management Specialist to optimize liquidity and ensure robust treasury controls across Malaysia and regional entities.

You will manage cash pooling, intercompany transfers, and bank relationships while ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate cash forecasting. Collaboration with local finance teams and CFOs across countries is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.
• 3-5 years of experience in cash management & FX for an MNC.
• Experience with treasury management systems and cash pooling concepts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of current and evolving central bank regulations for countries in EAJ.
• Manage treasury operations including cash pooling, sweeping, and intercompany transfers.
• Ensure efficient liquidity management, daily transactions, and bank facilities usage.
• Coordinate FX settlements and liaise with banks and cross-functional teams.

The role: Cash Management Specialist

What will you do?

• Ensure maintenance of and compliance with an effective control environment
• Maintain knowledge of current and evolving central bank regulations practices of the countries in EAJ
• Managing treasury operations on cash pooling/sweeping
• To support cash management scope whenever including but not limited;
  • Cash flow forecast
  • Analysis and entity’s liquidity and debt management
  • Provide commentary on the deviations
• Understand the corporate policies and how to apply them by country
• Responsible for the efficiency and liquidity of the entities cash, monitor and control the operations of the entities liquidity management which include, but are not limited to daily transactions, total facitlities & their utilisation, bank fees, individual bank balances and overall regional balances
• Responsible for consolidation of rolling cashflow forecast of the entities in-charged
• Manage the intercompany fund transfers, intercompany loans as well as the dividend payments of each entities in-charged
• Ensure the compliance of external regulation and internal policy
• Proactively monitor cash management processes, identifying non-standard activity, exceptions or non-compliance to banking and treasury policies, and escalating to management.
• Support the optimization of our cash management processes and systems.Drive the project to the optimization of cash.
• Work with corporate banks and evaluates bank services capability, monitors bank performance and recommend appropriate action.
• Manage local banking relationship
• Keep in good communication with local finance and local CFO to support their business requirements and needs
• Assist in preparing the required documentation for bank services ie Letter of Offers , KYC and any others documents
• Will be the system administrator for all the banks and responsible for the updating & maintenance of all the
• Authorisers & users on a timely manner
• Coordinate on the FX settlements with all the relevat parties including FX Specialist
• Work with cross-functional teams including Tax ,Business & Corporate team to support business, corporate &
• Treasury specific initiatives [This role works with:Local Finance teams, CFOs, Banks, Tax, Corporate teams & Treasury teams across countries. The person cannot be operating in isolation]
• Lead/assist with treasury ad hoc projects.

What qualifications will make you successful?

• Bachelor's degree or above preferably in Finance, Accounting or Business
• 3 - 5 years of recent experience directly performing Cash Management & FX activities in MNC supporting multiple countries role
• Experience with Treasury management system, cashpooling & inhouse bank concept
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical, organization and interpersonal skills
• Strong work ethic and team player mentality
• Adaptable to change and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Time management, prioritizing and decision-making abilities (day to day activities are not routine)
