Job summary

Mahkota Medical Centre is seeking a Junior Perfusionist to assist the Senior Perfusionist in leading clinical care within the Operating Theatre's Cardiac team. The role involves operating heart-lung machine during cardiac surgery and supporting other specialties with device-based circulation management.

Requirements include a Perfusion Certification with annual practicing certificate and 2–4 years of CPB experience in a cardiac centre.

Qualifications

• Perfusion Certified with valid annual practising certificate.
• Preferably 2–4 years of working experience with cardiopulmonary bypass equipment in a cardiac centre.
• Experience in operating theatre, intensive care unit or coronary care would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in safe performance and management of Extracorporeal Circulation and CPB support.
• Manage blood conservation techniques and hematological monitoring during surgery.
• Operate CPB equipment and administer medications as required.
• Carry out routine OT duties and assist in cardiac operations.
• Maintain perfusion records for compliance and benchmarking.
