Job summary

Reap, a Hong Kong-headquartered fintech, seeks an Engineering Manager for the Card Team to lead the end-to-end delivery of card programs in new markets. You will own regulatory integration, processor configuration, and cross-team coordination across Treasury, Onboarding, Compliance, Infrastructure, and Data Warehouse.

This high-ownership, hands-on leadership role combines product delivery, compliance, and scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership or management role.
• Experience building and operating systems in payments, risk/fraud, card infra, reconciliation, or API platforms.
• Ability to lead cross-functional engineering initiatives and drive architectural decisions.
• Strong systems thinking to design fault-tolerant, observable, scalable services.
• High bar for code quality, reliability, and peer review.
• Clear communication and collaboration with others.
• Main stack is TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end engineering delivery for card programs in new markets.
• Coordinate regulatory integration, processor configuration, and cross-team dependencies.
• Guide engineering design and scale the card issuing infrastructure.
• Establish on-call runbooks, incident response playbooks, and SLAs.
• Drive cross-team launch coordination with Product, Compliance, Legal, and other teams.
