Job summary

Bursa Malaysia Berhad is seeking a qualified investigator to lead enforcement and regulatory actions under the Rules. You will manage investigations, draft enforcement documents, and coordinate with regulatory committees to ensure lawful and efficient outcomes.

The role requires strong legal drafting, analytical skills and experience in capital market regulation. Responsibilities include liaising with authorities, maintaining case databases, and supporting policy development within the IED

Qualifications

• Degree or professional qualification in the field of law.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in investigation, auditing, forensic accounting, market analysis or regulatory/enforcement work.
• Sound knowledge of Malaysian Capital Market, the Rules, Companies Act, Capital Markets & Services Act and other relevant laws and regulation.
• Knowledge of trading in securities and derivatives and financial instruments.
• Ability to analyse and interpret financial statements.
• Good drafting, interpretative and analytical skills.
• Investigative techniques and methods and interviewing skills (an added advantage).

Responsibilities

• Undertake investigation and enforcement of breaches of the Rules and related suspension/de-listing actions.
• Manage, plan and monitor the investigation process with evidence review to substantiate breaches.
• Prepare and issue notices, documents and responses; support regulatory committees with views.
• Draft, develop policies and procedures for enforcement and related processes.
• Attend to legal notices and court processes; liaise with external counsel and regulators.
• Collaborate with regulators and stakeholders to gather required information and build trust.
• Maintain databases of cases, enforcement actions and outcomes.
• Undertake research and participate in regulatory projects and rule changes.
