The Capacity Planner is responsible to manage all aspects of Capacity planning focusing on external suppliers. This includes getting, consolidating and completing all relevant capacity data from suppliers and processing it (eg: software solution (to be installed)) enabling: creating the basis for S&OP (committed output, identify excess/lack of capacity in order to trigger mitigating actions) resource planning (mid to long term, machines and staff) with external suppliers scenario planning enabling proactively identifying potential challenges
