Job summary

Kolej Tuanku Ja’afar (KTJ) Café Diem seeks a Barista to support daily operations, serving beverages and light foods to students, staff and visitors. You will handle orders, explain items, and ensure accuracy and friendly service.

Responsibilities include preparing drinks, maintaining cleanliness, monitoring stock, and assisting in training volunteers. This role requires reliability, punctuality and a customer-focused mindset in a school setting.

Qualifications

• Provide friendly customer service to students, staff and visitors.
• Handle customer payments, operate the POS system, and process transactions accurately.
• Prepare beverages (coffee, tea, smoothies) and light food items per recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of counters, machines and prep areas.
• Assist in inventory monitoring and restocking of supplies and ingredients.
• Support training of new staff or volunteers as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve students, staff and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
• Take and process orders accurately and explain menu items clearly.
• Prepare and arrange beverages and light foods in line with school standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized cafe environment and operate equipment properly.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and reporting shortages.
• Collaborate with cafe team to ensure smooth daily operations and training of new volunteers.
