Cambridge Upper Primary Teacher (Mathematics & Science)

Stellaire International invites applications from talented educators and aspiring leaders to join our academics team at our full‑fledged campus, in the heart of Bukit Jalil, Mentri Park, Kuala Lumpur. We are expanding and have several positions to fill.

Primary Subject & Homeroom Teacher:
  • Upper Primary Mathematics & Science Teacher
  • Primary Teacher - English as an Additional Language (EAL)
  • Physical Education Teacher & ECA coach for a sports game (e.g. Basketball, Badminton or Football)
  • Primary Mandarin as a Foreign Language & Malay as a Foreign Language Teacher
  • Music & Performing Arts Teacher
Core responsibilities:
  • Passionate about teaching and learning and have a positive outlook.
  • Contribute to the values, ethos, and development of the school.
  • Plan and deliver a creative and stimulating curriculum.
  • Organise classroom and learning resources and create displays to encourage a positive learning environment as homeroom teacher.
  • Promote and enforce discipline among students to foster a safe, respectful and inclusive school environment.
  • Ensure effective whole‑class, group or individual learning opportunities for students.
  • Set high standards of expectations for students’ behaviour through good classroom discipline, focused teaching and productive relationships.
  • Evaluate student performance through homework, assessments, projects and assignments and then provide constructive feedback and support.
  • Use opportunities to reinforce literacy, ICT and numeracy skills within teaching.
  • Contribute to the co‑curricular activities programme for students.
  • Be a homeroom teacher to a group of students and be responsible for their pastoral care as appropriate, where applicable.
  • Keep an accurate register of attendance and encourage excellent punctuality and attendance.
  • Liaise with parents as appropriate.
  • Take responsibility for your own professional development and keep up to date in subject expertise and teaching skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with teaching and support staff.
  • Participate in school events, meetings and professional development activities.
Job Requirements:
  • Candidates must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Education / English Language / Science / Mathematics or a relevant major for the subject.
  • At least three (3) years of relevant teaching experience is required.
  • Working experience in an international school is mandatory.
  • Experience teaching Cambridge Checkpoint will be an added advantage for Mathematics and Science subjects.
  • Experience as a homeroom teacher is preferred.
  • Professional communication skills (verbal and written) in English language.
  • Able to work in Bukit Jalil, KL.
