Job summary

NGAI CHIN CONSTRUCTION SDN. BHD. is seeking a CAD Drafter to prepare and update 2D drawings and 3D SketchUp models for construction projects. You will produce detailed layouts, elevations and sections, revising drawings per feedback while ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications.

The role requires 2–3 years of drafting experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and the ability to read architectural drawings. Travel to Singapore for training or meetings may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in a relevant field.
• 2–3 years of CAD drafting experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of construction drawings, detailing and basic methods.
• Experience in shop drawings and as-built drawings is an advantage.
• Able to read architectural/technical drawings.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willing to travel to SG for training/meeting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update 2D CAD drawings and 3D SketchUp models.
• Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, plans, elevations and sections for construction works.
• Revise drawings according to comments from project team and clients.
• Ensure drawings are accurate and comply with project specs.
• Coordinate drawings with project team and other disciplines.
• Assist in preparing shop drawings, as-built drawings and submission drawings.
• Maintain drawing records, revisions and document control.
• Review drawings for discrepancies before submission.
• Liaise with site teams to incorporate site changes.
