Job summary

Bureau Veritas Malaysia is seeking an experienced engineer with a Bachelor's or Diploma in Engineering and 10+ years of experience in power, energy, and large-scale projects to join our project teams.

You will contribute to design, construction, commissioning, and site operations, coordinating with clients, contractors and regulators across Malaysia, with project-site assignments in Pahang or Johor as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Power, or related engineering discipline).
• Experience: minimum 10 years in power generation, power transmission, renewable energy, utility, industrial, infrastructure, oil & gas, or large-scale engineering projects.
• Experience in EPC/Owner's Engineer environments and in-site supervision, construction management, QC, HSE, and progress monitoring preferred.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Power, or related engineering discipline).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience (depending on position level) in power generation, power transmission, renewable energy, utility, industrial, infrastructure, oil & gas, or large-scale engineering projects.
• Experience in CCGT (Combined Cycle Gas Turbine) power plants, thermal power plants, renewable energy projects, utility infrastructure, or large-scale industrial projects would be highly advantageous.
• Experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction), Owner's Engineer, construction, installation, testing, commissioning, operations, or maintenance environments.
• Good understanding of engineering design, construction methodologies, project execution, commissioning activities, and site operations.
• Familiarity with applicable engineering codes, industry standards, technical specifications, quality requirements, and project documentation.
• Experience working on large-scale industrial, power plant, energy, utility, or infrastructure projects will be an added advantage.
• Strong coordination, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, vendors, regulatory authorities, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Experience in site supervision, construction management, contractor coordination, quality control, HSE compliance, and progress monitoring is preferred.
• Proficient in preparing and reviewing technical reports, engineering documentation, progress reports, and project records.
• Experience liaising with utility companies, government agencies, local authorities, and regulatory bodies will be an added advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Willingness to be based at project sites in Pahang or Johor and travel as required by project needs.
