Job summary

Masimo, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Buyer to procure materials and equipment in Pasir Gudang, Johor. You will negotiate with suppliers, manage requisitions and secure inventory to production according to plan.

The role requires a Bachelor's in business or supply chain, manufacturing experience, strong Excel skills, and collaboration with Manufacturing, QA and R&D. This is an on-site role offering comprehensive Danaher benefits.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage vendor setup in COUPA ERP.
• Coordinate purchase requisitions and purchase order creation.
• Monitor inventory and align purchases with production forecasts.
• Check delivery notes against POs and handle material returns to suppliers.
• Maintain supplier data in ERP including prices and lead times.
• Monitor supplier performance and optimize sourcing.

The Buyer is responsible for purchasing materials, supplies or equipment for the business. Their duties include negotiating deals with suppliers and secure inventory level of current products. Buyer also perform market research, product tests and evaluations and analyze competitors to identify best sources for the company. This position reports to the Manager, Purchasing and is part of the Purchasing team located in Pasir Gudang, Johor and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Managing new vendor creation/set-up in ERP system (COUPA)
• Co-ordinate purchase requisition, purchase order creation and monitor approval flow
• Order and secure materials for production – purchase according to production plan and forecast including monitor inventory level and provide forecasts to suppliers
• Delivery note checking against PO
• Handling of rejected materials to suppliers
• Maintain ERP system with purchase related data e.g. supplier information, lead times, ordering points, prices, invoice processing
• Monitoring supplier performance

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor's degree in fields such as business or supply chain.
• Experience in manufacturing environment with relevant supply chain management, logistic qualification.
• Ability to be a team member and effectively interface with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Research & Development.
• Must be a self-starter, a “hands‑on” individual who enjoys a challenge and is dedicated to getting the job done with minimal support and direction.
• Solid Excel skills are required as well as a high proficiency in standard job costing and variance analysis.
