Job summary

Zebra Technologies in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Business Process Analyst to drive process improvements across the assigned business unit. You will plan and execute complex initiatives, identify efficiency opportunities, and document new processes to support internal and external commitments.

Responsibilities include root cause analysis, training staff on new flow, and reporting outcomes to senior leaders. A hybrid work setup is offered with flexible hours and wellbeing days.

Qualifications

• Experience leading process-improvement projects (Lean/Six Sigma).
• Proficiency in analyzing current processes and identifying optimization opportunities.
• Strong documentation and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to train staff on new processes and standards.
• Experience with cost–benefit analyses and reporting to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Plan, perform and implement complex process-improvement initiatives across units.
• Identify opportunities to improve process effectiveness and efficiency.
• Conduct root cause analyses of process failures and document findings.
• Draft and revise new/updated business processes for the BU.
• Assess upstream/downstream impacts and propose mitigation strategies.
• Coach and mentor junior BPAs when needed.
• Measure and report on success of new/revised processes to executives.

What We're Looking For:

Business Process Analysts are responsible for the integrity of Zebra’s internal business processes in the

assigned business unit / area they are affiliated with. They ensure our business is run effectively,

efficiently and in support of delivering against our commitments internally and externally to our customers, partners and regulatory bodies.

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities: – Plans, performs and implements the most complex process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma). Projects may span business units or require significant cross functional alignment or involvement. Assignments often include designing process from scratch in emerging functional organizations or business units.

• Works proactively to identify and suggest opportunities to improve process effectiveness and efficiency is assigned BU

• Conducts root cause analysis of process failures

• Captures current challenges, desired outcomes and recommendations

• Documents agreements and owns drafting and revision of new / updated business processes in assigned business unit

• Understands upstream, downstream and work tools impacts to process change. Can recommend solutions to minimize impacts.

• May train incumbent employees in new process flow / requirements

• Measures and reports on success of new / revised processes in the BU. Reporting may include presentations to mid to senior level or executive audiences.

• Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product / service quality.

• Performs cost and benefit analyses.

• May coach / mentor or oversee the work of less senior BPAs, acting as a resource and escalation point
