PEC SE Asia SDN BHD is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead sales of battery test and manufacturing equipment across Southeast Asia. Based in Penang, you will build strategic partnerships, present technical solutions, and drive revenue growth through new and existing customers.

Ideal candidates have a technical background, 5+ years in technical sales or BD, and an entrepreneurial mindset. English fluency is required; willingness to travel within Southeast Asia is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in technical sales or business development.
• Existing personal network within the battery industry is a strong advantage.
• Fluent in English (C2) with regional languages a plus.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities

• Manage full sales cycle of standard battery test and manufacturing equipment portfolio in Southeast Asia.
• Identify new prospects and develop new revenue streams in Southeast Asia.
• Develop and expand sales opportunities with existing customers.
• Conduct on-site visits and deliver technical and commercial presentations.
• Organize and coordinate product demonstrations for prospective customers.
• Support pre-sales and technical teams to engage customers; participate in trade shows and events.
• Prepare, present, and negotiate commercial quotations; secure purchase orders and hit sales targets.

Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle of our standard battery test and manufacturing equipment portfolio in Southeast Asia. You will:

Identify new prospects and develop new revenue streams across Southeast Asia

Develop and expand sales opportunities with existing customers

Conduct on-site customer visits and deliver technical and commercial presentations

Organize and coordinate product demonstrations for prospective customers

Work closely with the pre-sales and technical teams to support customer engagements

Support marketing activities and participate in trade shows and industry events

Prepare, present, and negotiate commercial quotations

Secure purchase orders and achieve agreed sales targets

Your Profile

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven professional who meets the following requirements:

Strong technical background; minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in technical sales or business development

Existing personal network within the battery industry is a strong advantage

Strong commercial mindset with excellent negotiation skills

Fluent in English (C2) additional regional languages are a plus

Proactive, self-driven, and able to work independently with an entrepreneurial mindset
