Job summary

OCBC Malaysia is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to drive new business acquisition, expand customer relationships and deliver sustainable revenue growth. You will identify opportunities through direct sales, referrals and partnerships, while ensuring compliance with banking standards.

You will collaborate with Relationship Managers, product and operations teams to maximise cross-selling, manage a robust sales pipeline, and stay ahead of market trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or equivalent qualification in Business, Finance, Banking, Economics, Marketing or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, relationship management or banking.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with a proven track record in acquiring customers and hitting targets.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities to grow customer base and revenue.
• Build and manage relationships with business owners and key decision makers.
• Develop referral networks and strategic partnerships to maximize cross-selling.
• Drive sales and revenue growth across deposits, transactions, FX, and related banking solutions.
• Gather market intelligence to understand industries and business models for opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements during onboarding and servicing.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Product, Operations and other internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
