Our client, a Japanese management consulting firm, seeks an experienced business consultant to drive strategic advisory, DX roadmap formulation, and vendor management for client engagements.

You will lead governance, ensure alignment with business requirements, and mentor junior consultants while overseeing multiple workstreams across Procurement, Warehouse, Production, and Sales processes.

Our client is a management consulting firm from Japan which specializes in corporate growth, business restructuring, and management advisory.

They are looking for an experienced business consultant to be part of the team.

Role Overview

• You will serve as a strategic partner to our clients, guiding them from strategic planning to the execution of digital transformation (DX) initiatives.
• You will operate at the forefront of client engagements, leading decision-making processes and overseeing external development vendors to drive project success.
• Strategic Advisory: Lead growth strategy and DX roadmap formulation for clients.
• Vendor Strategy & Management: Define project requirements, select external development vendors, and manage end-to-end vendor relationships and project progression.
• Project Governance: Act as the client's representative to oversee vendor progress, manage project risks, and ensure technical solutions strictly align with business requirements.
• Quality Assurance: Audit vendor deliverables (design documents, technical specifications, etc.) from a business perspective and bridge the gap between client leadership and technical teams.
• Team Leadership: Mentor junior consultants and manage project workstreams to ensure high-quality, professional output.
• Create detailed business process flow based on the interview of as-is business process from clients in the following business process areas: Procurement Plan and Execution, Good Receive and Warehouse Operation, Production Planning and Control, Work in Progress and Finished Goods Inventory operation, Sales Plan and Execution, Transportation Plan and Execution, Product Costing.
• Analyze current business processes and identify key issues from an operational and management perspective.
• Perform interview sessions with our client in English.
• Negotiate and facilitate key discussions with our client in English.
• Work closely with project managers to deliver appropriate consulting service for our client.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree with 3+ years of experience in management, strategy, or IT consulting firms.
• Competency Skills: Demonstrate competencies such as logical thinking, negotiation, and team leadership skills necessary for consulting projects.
• Language Skills: English (Business proficiency level). Ability to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge in either the Financial Services or Manufacturing industry, or IT/Security in general.
• Vendor Management Experience: Proven experience in managing external development vendors or System Integrators (SIers), including requirement definition, schedule management, and cost control.
• Project Experience: Proven experience in business process consulting projects or ERP functional consulting projects, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on Skillset: Experience in documenting business process flow.
• Mindset: Strong eagerness and self-motivation to become a Process Consultant.
