Job summary

OCBC e2 Power Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Business Compliance Officer to ensure operations align with regulatory requirements and uphold integrity.

You will identify risks, implement controls, and work with business units to strengthen compliance, with opportunities to engage in training and reporting. This role supports governance, risk management and a culture of ethical performance.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Law, Business, or a related field, with at least 3-5 years of experience in compliance or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry trends
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess compliance risks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and compliance

Responsibilities

  • Perform control testing, compliance checks in accordance to guidelines.
  • Conduct surveillance activities to identify potential frauds, threats or data loss. This includes system access surveillance monitoring.
  • Escalate control gaps and non-compliance issues in timely manner.
  • Support the preparation and submission of risk and compliance reports, dashboards, incident reporting.
  • Assist in data collection, reviews, audit preparation and remediation activities.
  • Support Business Continuity Planning and Operational Resilience activities, documentations and reporting.
  • Conduct stand-up /virtual training and/or briefings to staff
  • Keep abreast of new and changes to regulations, compliances & controls, and support implementation.
  • Support projects, process improvement initiatives and day-to-day control execution.
  • Perform administrative support, submission of requests, issue escalations and ensure effective discharge of the tasks assigned.

Business Compliance Officer

As a Business Compliance Officer at OCBC, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the bank's operations are conducted with integrity and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
