Job summary
Aurecon is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our Buildings team in Malaysia. You will design and specify control systems for commercial and industrial projects, developing documentation and leading engineering activities through design, testing and commissioning.
You will collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative controls strategies and ensure project success, adhering to local and international standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years post graduate experience across all project development phases from concept to commissioning.
- Experience in DDC, PLC control design and project delivery.
- Knowledge of Malaysian Standards and BMS including DDC/PLC.
- Hands-on with OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IP & RTU, MQTT, BACnet/IP/MSTP interfaces.
- Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, specification, and delivery of control systems for buildings and facilities, ensuring standards compliance.
- Develop technical documentation, control philosophies, wiring schematics, and HMI graphics.
- Lead controls engineering activities from concept through testing and commissioning.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to implement innovative controls strategies.
- Provide technical leadership and ensure timely project delivery and quality.
