Job summary

Medtronic Malaysia is seeking a Program Manager for the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to lead end-to-end planning, governance, and execution of MES initiatives, aligning with global templates and site localizations.

You will manage cross functional teams, drive readiness, and ensure smooth go-live with minimal production disruption, while coordinating with ERP and enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 4+ relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in program/project management in Medtech or pharma.
• MES experience and knowledge of Critical Manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide program leadership and governance for MES initiatives.
• Plan, execute, and monitor MES projects from initiation to delivery.
• Liaise between project teams, site leadership, and vendors for alignment.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and vendor performance.
• Lead risk, issue, and change management efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the patients we serve and an unrelenting commitment to our new venture in Malaysia.The Program Manager for the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) at the manufacturing site provides end-to-end leadership for the planning, governance, and execution of MES ( Manufacturing Execution System ) initiatives supporting manufacturing operations. This role leads cross functional teams in deploying and sustaining the standardized global MES ( Manufacturing Execution System) template (Critical Manufacturing), including required site-specific localizations, while ensuring alignment to business priorities, operational readiness, and enterprise standards.The Program Manager is accountable for integrated delivery across scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, quality and compliance, site readiness, training and change management, go live, and hypercare. The role ensures minimal disruption to production and a controlled transition from implementation to steady state operations. Program scope includes enabling real time production visibility, replacing paper-based records with electronic DHR (eDHR), and coordinating integration between Ma nufacturing Execution System and site and enterprise systems such as BPCS ERP, Cornerstone/CSOD, equipment connectivity, and other applications defined in project charters and SOWs.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.Provide overall program leadership and governance for Ma nufacturing Execution System initiatives, defining objectives, success metrics, operating cadence, and escalation paths.Plan, execute, and monitor Ma nufacturing Execution System projects from initiation through delivery, owning integrated schedules, dependencies, risks, and outcomes across cross functional and departmental teams.Serve as the primary liaison between project teams, site leadership, functional partners, and vendors to ensure alignment, transparency, and timely decision making.Manage financial and resource aspects of the program, including budgets, forecasts, SOW execution, vendor performance, and efficient allocation of internal resources.Assess complex, ambiguous project issues and develop effective resolutions to meet productivity, quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction objectives.Lead risk, issue, and change management activities, ensuring adoption readiness and adherence to PMO, quality, and enterprise standards.Provide clear, concise project status reporting and executive level insights on progress, risks, and financials.Drive continuous improvement by strengthening delivery processes, tools, and consistency of execution, capturing lessons learned to improve future initiatives.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree required in engineering (biomedical, chemical, industrial, biotechnology, mechanical or related) with 4+ relevant engineering experience.Program/Project Management Experience from the Medtech or Pharma industry.Manufacturing Execution System (MES) experience (Critical Manufacturing preferred).Medical device quality, manufacturing, and regulatory experience.Experience of Product Transfers between Manufacturing sites.BPCS and SAP experience.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.Recruitment Fraud AlertWe are aware of phishing scams targeting job seekers.
