Job summary

XP Power is seeking a BOM Engineer to create, review and manage PCBA BOMs from schematics, Gerber files, and design documentation. You will verify component data and coordinate with design and procurement to ensure BOM accuracy and timely availability.

Responsibilities include maintaining BOM versions, supporting NPI, and ensuring RoHS/REACH compliance while collaborating with quality and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
• 2–3 years of experience in process engineering and BOM analysis
• Strong understanding of electronic components and PCBA design principles
• Experience with BOM management tools and PLM/ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
• Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB design software (Altium, OrCAD)

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and manage PCBA BOMs based on schematics, Gerber files, and design documentation.
• Ensure BOM accuracy by verifying component specifications, part numbers, and manufacturer data.
• Coordinate with design engineers to align BOM with PCB layouts and schematics.
• Interface with procurement and suppliers to confirm component availability, lead times, and cost.
• Maintain BOM versions and changes using PLM tools or ERP systems.
• Perform cross-checks for alternates, obsolete parts, and recommend replacements.
• Support NPI by generating and updating BOMs for prototype and pilot builds.
• Collaborate with quality and manufacturing teams to resolve component-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with RoHS, REACH, and other regulatory standards

• Support NPI (New Product Introduction) by generating and updating BOMs for prototype and pilot builds.
• Collaborate with quality and manufacturing teams to resolve component-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with RoHS, REACH, and other regulatory standards

Qualifications

Key Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
• At least 2-3 years of experience in process engineering and analysic BOM
• Strong understanding of electronic components and PCBA design principles.
• Experience with BOM management tools, PLM/ERP systems (e.g.,SAP).
• Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB design software (e.g., Altium, OrCAD).
• Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
• Good communication and cross-functional teamwork abilities.
• Can read and understand technical document/technical drawing.
