Job summary

UEM Edgenta Berhad in Penang is seeking a Boiler Technician to oversee daily steam boiler operations and related machinery, ensuring safe and compliant performance. You will maintain the IETS, perform preventive and breakdown maintenance, and report faults to management while upholding the company’s safety and quality standards.

The role requires a Boilerman Grade 1 or 2 certification and 1–3 years in Schedule Waste Management, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

High School Certificate.
Boilerman Grade 1 or 2 required.
1–3 years of experience in Schedule Waste Management.
Able to interact with all level personnel.
Independent and good in group work.

Responsibilities

Observe daily operation of steam boilers and related machinery with care and safety.
Maintain the Industrial Effluents Treatment Systems (IETS).
Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance for boiler and auxiliary equipment; report faults to management.
Operate and maintain boiler and IETS; perform prescribed routine/non-routine inspections.
Report faults to Superior promptly and comply with company policies and quality systems.
Ensure compliance with SOPs and statutory requirements; maintain plant cleanliness.
Adhere to HSE standards and wear PPE as required.
