Job summary

Kerry Malaysia is seeking a Boilerman to support plant maintenance and safety initiatives in a fast-paced environment. The role involves overseeing boiler systems, deaerator and cooling tower operations, and ensuring GMP compliance across ISO standards.

Candidates should hold a Grade One Steam Certificate and be prepared for shift work, with strong technical, troubleshooting, and communication skills essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade One Steam Certificate of Competency.
• Experience in boiler maintenance and operations.
• Willingness to work on shift schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong technical, troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safe operation and performance of boiler systems.
• Conduct periodic checks on process water levels, ensuring storage tanks, pumps, and related equipment function properly.
• Ensure the D.I. plant operates efficiently and meets required water specifications.
• Monitor and maintain proper functioning of the deaerator system.
• Perform routine inspections on the air compressor system to ensure optimal performance.
• Restart systems after power restoration.
• Restart the boiler and D.I. systems promptly after power restoration.
• Report any equipment failures to Management without delay.
• Follow Chemist instructions on boiler water treatment dosing and prepare required solutions.
• Perform boiler cleaning and repair work (internal and external).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in boiler and compressor areas.
• Ensure the cooling tower system operates efficiently.
• Monitor fuel oil tank levels and ensure pumps are functioning properly.
• Act as a Safety Coordinator, supporting safety and GMP compliance.
• Promote and practice 5S workplace culture.
• Participate actively in plant safety and food safety initiatives.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, HACCP, and GMP systems.
