Job summary

Ramboll Buildings in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a BIM Modeller to become the digital backbone of multi-disciplinary project delivery. Based in Penang, you will produce, manage and coordinate BIM models across architectural, structural, MEP disciplines for high-rise and complex projects in Asia.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers and digital specialists, ensuring models are accurate and truly useful.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Solid hands-on proficiency in Autodesk Revit; familiarity with ArchiCAD or Bentley MicroStation is a plus.
• Working knowledge of BIM across design, construction and operations.
• Exposure to structural analysis tools such as SAP2000, STAAD Pro or Robot is advantageous.
• Familiarity with SketchUp, AutoCAD, E20 and MS Office.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities across concurrent projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models across architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines using Revit and other BIM platforms.
• Lead interdisciplinary clash detection and coordination, resolving discrepancies before they reach site.
• Manage BIM libraries, families and templates to keep modelling efficient and consistent across the team.
• Extract high-quality 2D drawings and documentation from models for construction coordination and BIM standards.
