ContactLink Solutions LLC is seeking fluent Cantonese-English interpreters for a fully remote, full-time contractor role. You will support healthcare and medical vocab, maintain high accuracy, and work from a quiet home office with required equipment.

Onboarding and ongoing professional training are provided, with monthly payments. Immediate availability is preferred to start after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Cantonese required.
• Minimum 1 year interpretation experience preferred.
• Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills to maintain accuracy.
• Ability to explain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication.

As a remote interpreter, you play a significant role in facilitating communication between CANTONESE and English speakers. The interpreter needs to be able to process information quickly and with accuracy in a professional manner. It is essential to ensure a quiet & secure environment. Note pads and writing utensils, glossaries, and dictionaries are useful tools.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Fluency in English and Cantonese
• Minimum 1 year interpretation experience preferred
• Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Render correct concepts and meanings according to the conventions of established interpretation protocol, avoiding omissions or additions.
• Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with permission or at the request of the client.

Technical Requirements:

• 90% English proficiency
• Steady wired internet connection
• USB wired headset
• Windows 10 or Mac
