Job summary

Clarks is seeking a BI Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to develop, deploy and maintain BI assets including dashboards, reports and data models that support self-service analytics. You will collaborate across the organisation to deliver actionable insights for informed decision-making and strategic planning.

You will partner with business units to identify opportunities to leverage data, automate processes, and deliver KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience developing BI tools.
• A’ Level education in a numerate discipline or equivalent.
• Proficient in Power BI & Power Query.
• Knowledge of SQL and at least one other language (e.g., Python, Spark, R).
• Capable in data provision using Synapse or equivalent.
• Experience in Retail / Supply Chain is desirable.
• Familiarity with Data Management practices including Data Governance and MDM.
• Knowledge of Data Modelling.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Business Units to identify opportunities to leverage data, increase efficiency and automate processes.
• Develop company level reports, dashboards and ad-hoc analyses enabling enterprise data to serve customers.
• Interpret and analyze data to answer business questions and provide KPI reporting.
• Build and maintain Data Literacy modules.
• Deliver Data Literacy training to broad knowledge worker groups and participate in the BI, Data & Analytics Community of Practice.
• Ensure data quality for existing use cases and assess new ones.
• Validate business reports and assets.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to develop Data Products.
